Under Armour Newsroom
Pitching ideas in an interview.
The Problem.
To catch you up to speed, check out my Under Armour page for full information on my summer internship there.
During the interview process, on the second interview, I was asked to check out Under Armour’s Newsroom website and to “… let them know what I think.” To me, this seemed like a dead end in the interview process.
The Solution.
Rather than rolling over and admitting defeat, I checked out the website and created a list 1. of things I did like; 2. of things I didn’t like; 3. of things I think they should change. It was a short list, only about 9 bullet points. In addition to the list, I mocked up their website, and created a wireframe of the changes I would make.
I think this helped during my interview process. I still have the one-word email response I received.
“WOW.”
The changes I had suggested still live on the website to this day, and you can scroll back to the entries around about May 2019 and see when they start to implement the UX features. I can’t officially take credit for this, but I’d like to think I can.
